Salt County Lacrosse Hosts the 1st Annual

Salty 7v7

The whistle blew, the grass was flying, and the inaugural Salty 7v7 High School Girls Lacrosse Tournament officially established itself as pre-season tradition. Hosted at the Chris Crain Lacrosse Field in Bryant, the day was a masterclass in speed, skill, and relentless spirit.

A Tri-State Showdown

This wasn’t just a local scrimmage; it was a battle for regional bragging rights. We were honored to welcome teams from across Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri, turning Bryant into the epicenter of Southern and Midwestern girls' lacrosse for the weekend. Seeing these three states collide on our home turf created an incredible atmosphere of high-level competition and mutual respect.

Fast-Paced, High Stakes

The 7v7 format was the star of the show. By shifting from the traditional 12v12 lineup to a condensed 7v7 field, we created a "track meet with sticks." Our game plan—featuring back-to-back 25-minute sprints—kept the energy at a fever pitch. With more open space to navigate on the natural grass, the athletes showcased:

  • Precision Passing: Threading the needle under pressure.

  • Goaltending Clinics: Spectacular saves that kept the sidelines on their feet.

  • End-to-End Transitions: The kind of speed and agility that only the 7v7 format can highlight.

Beyond the Scoreboard

While the competition between the Arkansas, Tennessee, and Missouri squads was fierce, the "Salty" spirit remained the priority.  The atmosphere at Alcoa 40 Park was electric, from the early morning warmups to the final whistle.

A Special Thank You

This event wouldn't have been possible without our incredible volunteers, the officiating crew who managed the fast-paced transitions perfectly, and our sponsors who believe in the mission of Salt County Lacrosse. You didn't just fund a tournament; you fueled a regional movement.

What’s Next?

The 1st Annual was just the beginning. With the success of this year’s tri-state field, the blueprints are already being drawn for an even larger 2nd Annual Salty 7v7 in 2027. Stay Tuned!
